CGFNS International, Inc. is proud to announce that renowned nurse ethicist, Leah Curtin, DSc(h), RN, FAAN, has joined CGFNS International as a consultant serving in the role of Senior Advisor for Communications.
“I am pleased to welcome Leah to the CGFNS team, and wish her much success in her new consultative role,” said Franklin A. Shaffer, EdD, RN, FAAN, FFNMRCSI, President & CEO. Leah brings a wealth of experience and a record of significant healthcare community contributions to CGFNS International, as the Executive Editor for Community Outreach of American Nurse Today, the official journal of the American Nurses Association, and as editor-in-chief of Nursing Management. The publisher of 17 award winning books on nursing productivity and nursing ethics, Ms. Curtin was declared a “Living Legend” by the American Academy, an award bestowed for extraordinary and sustained contributions and positive influences to nursing.
As enterprise consultant, she will collaborate with CGFNS leadership on the design and implementation of communication strategies for social media, publications and press releases across its five divisions. Leah has a Master’s degree in health planning and health administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Arts in philosophy with a dual major in ethics and linguistic analysis from the Athenaeum of Ohio.
