Philadelphia, PA; March 31, 2016
On Thursday, March 10, 2016, President Barack Obama and the First Lady, Michelle Obama, welcomed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, PC, MP, of Canada and Mrs. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau to the White House.
CGFNS International’s Chief Executive Officer, Franklin A. Shaffer, EdD, RN, FAAN, FFNMRCSI was invited to attended the arrival ceremony which began at 8:45 AM on the South Lawn of the White House.
In his speech to the ceremony’s attendees, President Obama spoke on the alliance between the United States and Canada; two neighboring countries who share the same values. “As leaders at the United Nations, we stand up for peace and security and the human rights of all people,” declared President Obama.
Dr. Shaffer’s attendance at the arrival ceremony, was of great significance and reinforced the validity of CGFNS International’s initiatives in the global arena and in particular, Canada.
With collaborative undertakings since 2012, the partnership between CGFNS International, Inc. (CGFNS) and the National Nursing Assessment Service of Canada (NNAS), culminated with the launch, in August 2014, of a CGFNS technology-based assessment system created to evaluate the credentials of foreign-educated nurses seeking licensure across provinces in Canada.
Globally known for credentials evaluation, and document authentication and verification services, CGFNS, through a harmonization approach, cooperated with NNAS, an incorporated membership of Canadian Nurse Regulatory Bodies, to apply rigorous standards for qualification assessment of nurses desiring to practice in Canada.
“It is a great honor for me to be part of this memorable event which symbolizes, on a larger scale, the US-Canadian bond,” stated Dr. Franklin Shaffer. “CGFNS International, Inc. aspires on a daily basis, to be a living testimony through our collaboration with NNAS.”
To date, CGFNS International and the National Nurse Assessment Service has processed 3,630 successful nurse applications.
