Who is this service for?

The CGFNS International Credentials Evaluation Service (CES) reports analyze the credentials of multiple levels of nursing professionals who are educated outside of the United States and who wish to pursue licensure or academic admission in the United States. The CES report is advisory and does not make specific placement recommendations.

Choose from two types of reports

CGFNS currently offers two types of CES reports. We suggest you contact the organization (the recipient) you would like to receive your CES report and ask which type of report they require. The two types of reports are described below:

  • Professional Report — This report meets the specific requirements of individual state boards of nursing, incorporating their requirements templates and including a statement of comparability of an applicant’s education when measured against U.S. standards.

    • Professional Report Expedited Review Service — The Expedited Review Service ensures that each document received will be reviewed within 10 business days of receipt and that the CES Professional Report will be issued within 10 business days from the final receipt and acceptance of all required documents. The Expedited Review Service can be purchased at the time of the initial online application for a fee of US$150, or can be added to an open and active CES Professional Report application for a fee of US$250.

  • Academic Report — This report is designed to meet the needs of applicants pursuing further education in U.S. institutions of higher learning.

    • Academic Report Expedited Review Service — The Expedited Review Service ensures that each document received will be reviewed within 10 business days of receipt and that the CES Academic Report will be issued within 10 business days from the final receipt and acceptance of all required documents. The Expedited Review Service can be purchased at the time of the initial online application for a fee of US$175, or can be added to an open and active CES Academic Report application for a fee of US$275.

What does this service do?

The resulting CES report serves as a valuable tool for regulatory/licensing agencies, specialty certification authorities, academic institutions, immigration attorneys, prospective employers and others. It also helps qualified applicants demonstrate the merits of their credentials with regard to U.S. standards, facilitating their pursuit of educational or career opportunities in the United States. Beginning 1 February 2011, only online applications for the Credentials Evaluation Service will be accepted, and you will be required to submit an email address for correspondence.
